Ayo Fayose, the Ekiti state governor, is one of Nigeria's most admired governors who get close always to the ordinary people. Most Nigerians appreciates him, a man that never ceases to give them something to talk about.

There is barely any week that goes by without the people’s governor being in the news. He is one man that always criticizing the administration of President Buhari. He is also known for his giving out freebies to the people or having fun being a disc jockey (DJ). He was once seen eating local food ‘mama put’ along the road with his entourage waiting for him.

Like what he is known for, the Ekiti state governor had demonstrated again on Friday, May 19, by showing his drumming skills at the Lying-in-state of late Gen. Adeyinka Adebayo, at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado

It was previously reported that the long awaited burial rites of Late General Adeyinka Adebayo begun on Thursday, May 18. The remain of late General Adeyinka Adebayo accompanied by Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state, arrived in Ekiti state on Friday, May 19, where it was received by Governor Ayo Fayose.

General Adeyinka Adebayo is being given a befitting burial by the Ekiti state government and his family. The former governor of old western region died 2 months ago at the age of 89, generating reactions from prominent Nigerians.

General Adebayo was born in 1928 in the present-day Ekiti state and joined the West African Frontier Force in 1948 as a regiment signaler. He later retired in the year 1975.

Meanwhile, his eldest son, Otunba Niyi Adebayo happened to be the governor of Ekiti state from 1999 to 2003. His other son, Mr Adesola Adebayo was the commissioner for works and transport, Ekiti state during Dr Kayode Fayemi led administration in the state from 2010 to 2014.
