Photos of student arrested with gun in Benue state admits being a cultist

The Benue state police command during their stop and search duty along Aliade-Otukpo road, catch one Victor Ogbu 25years, on May 19, in possession of a locally made Beretta pistol with four live ammunition.
The suspect, Victor Ogbu, who admits being a cultist and a student of University of Agriculture Makurdi reportedly, said he bought the pistol in Makurdi. Investigation, however, is ongoing.

Meanwhile, the police command has arrested a kidnapper and rescued his victim. Acting on tip off info, the police trailed and arrested one Isaac Atsor, 33 on May 24 at his hideout in Ushongo LGA of the state, where they kept their victim, Mr. Ape, the proprietor of Excel Grace School Gboko.

Isaac Atsor was arrested with ₦500,000 alleged to be a ransom payment, and a locally made Beretta pistol and one live ammunition. The suspect admits to have being involved in the crime with four others, who reportedly escaped during the raid of their hideout
The victim had since being reunited with his family, even as investigation and searching of other gang members that flee continues.

Earlier investigation, though, revealed that the suspect had just finished serving a jail term on 22/03/2017 and was released from prison custody.

The Command with some record of success, also on May 14 at around 10pm arrested and detained the following suspects with dummy guns while committing their nefarious activities at Ikyowe village in Katsina ala; Zahemen Avaa- 24yrs, Ebenezer Ikyereve - 20yrs, Teryima Orkeghen - 21yrs and, Lubem Torhile - 22yrs

This infamous armed robbery gang who have been terrorizing motorists along Katsina ala- Zaki biam road and taking away their valuables, however, met their waterloo when the police responded to a distress that some robbers had blocked the road.

According to the police command, the gang will be charged to court as soon as investigation is being completed.
