The 2017 appropriation bill is set
to be finally sign by the acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo following some
months of delay as a result of some grey areas that need to be sorted out.
It was however revealed on Monday, June
12 via a tweet through the official handle of the Senate President Bukola Saraki
that the acting president, Yemi Osinbajo will sign the 2017 appropriation bill,
together with Senate president, Bukola Saraki at the Aso Rock Villa by 3:00pm.
According to the Daily Trust, the
venue for the event is Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja and the
time is slated for 3.00pm.
In his word, “All grey areas have
been sorted and the budget is ready for signing into law any time soon,”
Timothy Golu, a member of the House of Representatives, who chairs committee on
legislative budget and research, said.
