The remains of the Ivorian international
footballer, Cheick Tiote has arrived back home right in his country, Ivory
Coast.
The remain of the Chinese Beijing
Enterprises midfielder arrived Thursday in the afternoon at Port Bouet Airport,
Abidjan, the Ivory Coast capital, after being flown from China where he unfortunately
incident happened.
Tiote remains was received by
several people, like former Ivorian national coach and teammates Herve Renard,
Kolo Toure, Wilfred Bony, Gervinho and Tiene who were among the pallbearers
carrying the coffin containing Cheick Tiote's remains when it arrived.
BBC Sports reports that, Tiote’s
family wants the late player who collapsed and died during a training session with
his Chinese club last week to be buried in his hometown Yamoussoukro but the
Ivorian Football Federation prefers him to be buried in Abidjan.
