Mother of kidnapper kingpin, Chukwudubem Onwuamadike, a.k.a Evans reportedly gone into hiding

Mother of Chukwudubem Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, the notorious billionaire kidnapper kingpin that was arrested recently in Lagos has being reportedly gone into hiding following news of her son's arrest got to Umudim, their home town in Nnewi, Anambra state.

Chukwudubem Onwuamadike (Evans) mother who usually is regarded as Lady Nwosu was described by Vanguard as a no-nonsense woman.

It was learnt, she assists vendors in selling their wares for a commission. However, Evans' mother is being alleged to be aware of her son’s criminal activities…and that Evans even bought her a car. Meanwhile, report claiming to truth at the Umudim village seems to differ from the story in their home town as it was discovered that Lady Nwosu, the mother only uses a motorcycle known as Nwanyi Nnewi.

Lady Nwosu has not been seen at the canteen where she sells since Tuesday, Vanguard reports. A woman told the paper that Lady Nwosu went into hiding after people began coming in to sympathize with her over her son's arrest. 

The woman who prefers to be anonymous said; “She has gone into hiding as a result of the numbers of people trooping into their home to sympathize with her following the arrest of her son. Some came for a different purpose; to make mockery of her and to see the face of the mother of the arrested kidnapper. Even you newsmen were troubling her. She has been crying since news of the arrest reached her. I do not know where she has gone to but I think it is good for her.”

Meanwhile, Evans mother’s disappearance concurs with the Obi of Umudim, Chief Benneth Okafor revelation that the arrested kidnap kingpin is an unknown figure in his community as he barely comes home; and that neither did he have any investment in Umudim.
