Meet 24-Year-Old Cynthia Jebkosgei Muge Who Wins A Seat In Kenyan Parliament (Photos)

Cynthia Jebkosgie Muge, 24 is a newly elected MCA of Kilibwon ward, Nandi County, Kenya.

She was elected as an independent candidate because she could not afford the cost of purchasing or obtaining party nomination form.

Muge election came as a surprise to Jubilee Party stronghold following her emerging victory in the poll with 8760 vote, beating her closest competitor, Wilson Kiptanui of Jubilee party who got 8354 vote.
"I took a chance as an independent candidate won after a difficult penniless campaign". Cynthia revealed to journalists.
Cynthia Muge, a Planning, City/Urban Community and Regional Planning of the University of Nairobi credited her victory to low key issue-based campaign that directly targeted voters in their home and in addition to her determination irrespective various challenges.
She also acknowledged her friends for using the social media platforms particularly Facebook to solicit for votes for her.
