Atiku Abubakar “will never be a threat to President Muhammad Buhari” – El-Rufai says

The Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai has said that he wishes former vice president Atiku Abubakar well as he quit the All Progressives Congress (APC), Premium Times reports.

Atiku Abubakar had, in a statement personally signed by him on Friday and earlier reported by BN, announced his resignation from the APC, citing lack of good relationship with the party leadership, among other issues.

In an interview at the State House after attending the Friday juma’at service with the president, El-Rufai said he’d heard Atiku would leave the party in December. He said:

I have heard about what the former Vice President said about leaving the APC. We knew he was going to leave in December but he has left in November which is good because the earlier he leaves for where he belongs, the better.

He has changed political parties a few times, there is nothing surprising. Before the 2019 elections if situation changes and he thinks he can get the ticket in 2019 he will come back. That is what he has done a few times.

El-Rufai said no one will follow Atiku in leaving the party. He said the only one who can, the Adamawa State Governor, Bindow Jibrilla, has already endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for the 2019 presidency. He said:

I want to assure you that there is no one governor in the APC that is going to go with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

The only governor that he would think will go with him, the governor of Adamawa State has already endorsed President Buhari for the 2019 elections.

He added that Atiku is not a threat to Buhari. He said he’d made the statement in Atiku’s presence, adding that he’d told Atiku not to run for president. He said:

He has never been and will never be a threat to President Buhari. Let me say this very clearly, and I have said this to the former Vice President in 2014 Dubai when we met. Because before joining the APC, he sent for me.

However, I told him not to run for the presidency because I believe very strongly this is Buhari’s era.

As long as President Muhammadu Buhari is in politics I do not see any Nigerian from the northern part of the country that will be able to match him in popularity. Anyone standing up to challenge him is wasting his time.

God has decreed that this is Buhari’s time and we are waiting for the PDP to give Atiku Abubakar the ticket and we will face him on the field. But I have no doubt that I will not lose any sleep about it.

Wayne Rooney's wife, Coleen finally has spoken on their reported split over his cheating

Coleen Rooney has finally spoke on her rumoured split from husband Wayne Rooney in Facebook post today. The mother-of-three, who is currently expecting her fourth child, revealed that she is giving her nine year marriage a second chance even after his 'silly and selfish mistake'.

There were reports alleging that their marriage was on the rocks following the footballer's wild night out in September. Read her statement below.

Before all the stories begin, Yes, I have put my wedding ring on....... A lot of people will be saying "you don't have to explain yourself, don't feel like you have to do this" etc,I know I don't, but I am and I want to.

It didn't feel right wearing my ring, I see it as a sign of commitment and I was unsure what was happening. I don't always wear my ring day to day, especially when I go the gym which is where I get stalked by paps each morning. So, if I don't always have it on, maybe it's just because am going the gym or haven't put it on before the school run!!

A few people have been feeling sorry for me, please don't. I appreciate getting cared about, however, I am a strong person, I don't feel sorry for myself. Also a few people are probably thinking am stupid for staying in my marriage. I am not stupid, I know my own mind and it's something I want to try and work on.

Before the headlines start.... No, I’m not taking Wayne back as he's never left. Yes, it has been a shit time, and yes, time was spent apart and I thought my marriage might have been at an end.

There’s been so many stories in the press, so many sources chipping in, so called friends having their say and a few well-known names giving their opinion.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion on things, I often do. However please make an opinion based on true facts. I am in the public eye and do expect to get intrusion, however, the amount we have received has been uncalled for. Remember we are people, we have feelings, and as I always say to my children .... don't do or say to others what you wouldn't like done or said to yourself or your loved ones. Also, I really hope the money that people got paid for their say has really benefited both you and your families.

Wayne doesn't get portrayed for the person he is in the press, he has always had a hard time. I’m not going to list his good qualities as a person as I don't think he deserves it at this time but one thing is that he is a brilliant dad. He's made silly and selfish mistakes, some he's learnt from, some obviously not. However maybe that will change?

In life, you don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. But one thing I do know is that too much alcohol on a night out is a dangerous and a lot of stupid mistakes are made and things are said under the influence. I would never trust ANYONE who has had a lot of alcohol, it changes some people drastically.

I do have a private life and we are real people which is sometimes overlooked. We do have worries, troubles and obstacles in life we tackle and go through without anyone knowing and we also have fantastic fun times making memories with our loved ones without people knowing. To answer a lot of people, not everything in our life is money related. People think when you earn a lot of money everything is fine, yes there are advantages, but this isn't everything in life and it's doesn't always make people happy. People are everything, and people are what make me the happiest in life. We surround ourselves with friends and family who are genuine, kind and caring people.

It's my decision .... do I love Wayne ... yes I do. If I didn't then I wouldn't be trying to make it work. I know I would be fine on my own, with just me and my children, but I don't want to live like that, I want to try and continue our marriage and live as a family, because that’s what I want to do. I’m not saying everything is fine and forgotten about, but we are as good as can be at this point, I’m not the type of person to put a show on and say we’re all loved-up….I’m just real.

“I wish I pressured you more not to” marry Maryam – Friend of man whose life was cut short by Wife expresses regret

Son of ex-People’s Democratic Party chairman Haliru Bello, Bilyamin Bello, who was reportedly stabbed to death by his wife, would have celebrated his 36th birthday today.

Bilyamin’s friend, Dikko Mustapha on his Facebook page, penned an emotional tribute to his friend. Mustapha recounted on the time they had spent together, saying he wished he had continued to put pressure on Bilyamin not to marry Maryam Sanda, his alleged murderer.

Dikko wrote:

Today I would have called to say Happy birthday to you Bilya as you clock 36 but you are no longer with us
I am looking up and I trust you are looking down. Because I am insisting on smiles and not a single frown, I am trying so hard but these tears of pain keep flowing down my cheeks. Sitting down here thinking about you, thinking about life without you Bilya.

I am in so much pain and I am so sorry for drifting apart when you wanted to marry Maryam, I wish I pressured you more not to, I tried but I should have tried harder I was angry with you at the moment and That was selfish so we left you all alone with this murderer. First, she separated you from your beloved wife then she separated you from your family and friends
As I sit here pondering about what would have been if we had pressurised you, I feel guilty down my spine. My thoughts are these.

If I had put so much pressure on you and succeeded in making you understand our point of view when you wanted to marry Maryam

1. You would have left her and probably this wouldn’t have happened.

2. As Number 1 didn’t happen, if we hadn’t drifted a little too apart when you married Maryam you would have confided in me, Usman, Abba or Bello about the harsh condition in your marriage And we would have adviced you accordingly and probably all this wouldn’t have happened.

Oh Bilya I am so sorry I am so devastated by your demise I wish I could turn the hands of time but it’s too late.

Maryam has finally separated you from this world completely.
I recall what you used to say back in the days “when I get married I am going to Submit to my wife totally I don’t like woman wahala let peace reign kawai” and we will call you names, Well you did let peace reign and she took advantage of it.
You will forever be in our heart body and soul. Insha Allah Alisha your daughter will hear the story of a great man called Bilya her father because you were a great man. #Justiceforbilya

President Muhammadu Buhari applauds Benin Kingdom for stabilizing Nigeria

President Buhari on Thursday expressed satisfaction with the stabilising roles that the Eweka Dynasty of Benin Kingdom had been playing in the affairs of the country.

The number one citizen while speaking while receiving the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II at the State House, said that Nigerians have reasons to be proud of the stabilising roles Benin chiefs had played right from the colonial era to the current period, not only in the Delta region but the country as a whole.

President Muhammadu Buhari singled out the role of the immediate past Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa I, whom he described as his “back bone of support” when he was Federal Commissioner of Petroleum Resources and the late Oba was a Federal Permanent Secretary.

“I cannot hold back my emotions, talking about my relationship with your predecessor. After General Murtala Mohammed was assassinated, I was moved from the North-East as governor to Ministry of Petroleum. Your father was then Permanent Secretary. My relationship with him was very strong. I have lost count of the number of visits to his palace as Oba,” he said.
President Buhari praised the late Oba for “stabilising that part of the country because of his firmness. I must also commend the immediate past governor, Adams Oshiomhole for stabilising Edo State.”

Welcoming Oba Ewuare’s delegation made up of chiefs from other parts of Edo State, including the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the President commended His Royal Majesty for following the footsteps of his predecessor while reiterating his support for the traditional institution.

“I know and respect the traditional institution. I try as much as possible to understand why the authors of our Constitution kept silent about their role,” he said, noting however, that this was probably the best thing way to preserve their neutrality. “Your Royal Majesty, you are safe where you are,” the President added.
In his remarks, Oba Ewuare II, who commended the President for his handling of security matters in the country, urged the Federal Government to establish industries in the rural areas to curb unemployment, rural-urban migration and human trafficking.

'I used to smoke, masturbate and date married men until I met Jesus' - Actress Banna Nichole, shares her testimony

Nollywood actress Nichole Banna in a post shared on her IG page, recalls how she normally smoke, indulges in masturbate and worse still date married men until she encountered Jesus and become a new person. She cautioned young girls who indulges in the habit of dating married men to withdraw from the act as the consequences are generational. Read her inspiring post below...

Am sharing this testimony because I want to honour the one behind the transformation in my life. I have always been a God fearing girl, my relationship with the Holy Spirit is one that gets stronger by the day. Am grateful for being connected to a great man of God David Ibiyeomie whom through his teachings and books have brought me closer to God. There's a difference between having a relationship with the Holy Spirit and being religious. Am glad I can boldly say I belong to Jesus Christ because I really fear and try my best to obey all I see in His word with the Help of my Sweet Holy Spirit. Before now I was just that young girl that wanted everything some girls thought are the priorities in life. So back then I dated married men whom will end up loving me so much and doing all I asked, thereby spending less time with their wives. Back then it felt good to be loved and taken care by someone's husband and it seemed normal. But as God may have it i became born again. Attended WOLBI (WORD OF LIFE BIBLE SCHOOL )in Salvation Ministries. I encountered light and stopped everything that has to do with married men and all they had to offer despite the pressure. I became content with what I have and trust me God didn't lie when He said that He will provide everything I needed if I seek Him first. Letting go of that completely doesn't make me a perfect girl because no one is perfect but it felt good to go into a covenant with God,and watch Him fulfil His own part. The transformation didn't end there cause I still had other things I was doing that doesnt glorify God.I use to smoke and mastubate alot and that made me have less friends and because I didn't want the dirty habits known publicly.Though After WOLBI I stopped smoking and mastubating for a while, after some time ,i backslided and became worst with the habits.I smoke all the time coupled with the challenges i was going through then.In the midst of this I still loved God,kept praying and asking for mercy especially after each action. Am grateful to God because I know He has healed me completely and this is the proof that am free from that demonic influence because I kept praying and asking for mercy especially after each act. Am grateful to God because I know He has healed me completely and this is the proof that am free from that demonic influence because it was a big battle for me to testify openly. I practiced this secretly because I didn't want my sister to know about it and especially the public,I didn't want to mislead my fans because everyone's grace differs. Please this is to encourage you, nomatter what you are doing don't let go of God's hands, keep striving to be better. Again for the ones that still date married men cause of money, please stop because the consequences are generational. Same money you will get if you work hard and be content. I wish I can explain better than this but am not a pastor, am just a young girl that has surrendered totally to the Lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ. And for those struggling to stop any habit, don't be too hard on yourself. Just keep asking the Holy Spirit for help. One day you will testify like me. My testimony isn't here for you to judge me or unfriend me because the truth is bitter. I am not judging anyone aswell. I believe there's hope for everyone. If I can be better trust me you can be aswell. Heaven is real, God is real. Am glad I belong to Jesus Christ and He doesn't judge me. He is your father. Go to Him however you are,He won't let you down. Please instead of castigating me,take the lesson and keep praying for every one out there. We all are in a battle field. God bless you all. #JesusisLord #mytestimony#notasaintoo #nwachinemere

'Stay away from the South East' IPOB members caution President Muhammadu Buhari

Members of the proscribed secessionist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has released a statement asking that President Buhari's planned trip to the South East should better be forgotten.

In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, IPOB says President Muhammadu Buhari should forget his planned trip to Ebonyi state tomorrow November 14th and Anambra state on Wednesday, November 15th. The group warned that blood will flow if President Buhari defies their warning and visits the region. Read the statement below...

"It is with a heavy heart and grave sense of responsibility that we IPOB worldwide under the supreme command Of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu announce to the world, that those who are completely committed to provoking bloodshed in our land may have finally succeeded. The consequences of any fall out from the visit of the impostor Jubril to Ebonyi State will rest squarely on the head of Chief John Nnia Nwodo, Gov. Dave Umahi, Rochas Okorocha and the rest of South East governors. Bringing this version of 'Buhari' to insult the memory of those killed at Enugu, Nkpor, Igweocha, Aba, Onitsha and lastly Umuahia will not be tolerated by IPOB and every right thinking Biafran for that matter. This is tantamount to an Israeli politician inviting Adolf Hitler to visit Jerusalem to mock the Jews he slaughtered in Concentration Camps during the holocaust.

Tuesday 14th November 2017 will be recorded in history as a very bloody day should that Jubril masquerading as Buhari attempt to land on Biafran soil. We have remained passive and peaceful but it appears that Hausa Fulani slave politicians in Igboland are hell bent on provoking us to become violent. Whoever advised Ohaneze Ndigbo and Igbo governors to embark on this suicide mission does not wish them well. We would like to use this opportunity to call on the Sudanese government to come and return their citizen Jubril, who for months now have been fraudulently and deceptively been parading himself as the hated late dictator Muhammadu Buhari, when in actual fact he is not. That notwithstanding, given that this Jubril have now assumed the persona of the arch gemocidist Muhammadu Buhari, we shall treat him like Buhari.

Reason this man, in whose name Operation Python Dance was ordered; an operation that swallowed 91 of our brethren, is visiting Ebonyi state through Enugu airport is best known to Chief John Nnia Nwodo and Gov. Dave Umahi. The impression of a defeated and conquered people being portrayed by the present OHANEZE leadership in concert with the governors of the South East is most troubling at this period in our history. For those that claim to be intellectual elites, their palpable lack of a sense of history showcases their ignorance at every turn. They are planning to welcome a man in the name Buhari, a name that is responsible for the worst war crimes and genocide in recent times against our people. The only atrocity left, for the likes of Nnia Nwodo and Dave Umahi, is for Biafraland to be transformed into a giant estate of the Fulani caliphate, with small labour camps owned by their Emirs, with Biafrans as their labouring slaves.

This Jubril person coming in the name of Buhari, it should be noted, is also planning to visit Anambra State on Wednesday 15th November in order to put executive finishing touches to the APC rigging plot to install the caliphate's latest young Igbo recruit Tony Nwoye. This they hope will cement the ongoing humiliation and conquest of our people. God forbid!

Our message is short and simple. JUBRIL a.k.a Muhammadu Buhari will be exposed to the world as the impostor he is by making sure he never goes back alive. We will die with him should he set his foot on the sacred land of Biafra. HE WILL NOT GO BACK ALIVE. He is coming to mock us and to urinate on the graves of our 91 brethren his Operation Python Dance killed in Abia State. He is coming to show us that power belongs to the North and their slaves like Nnia Nwodo and Dave Umahi are in charge over their conquered territory and defeated people of Biafra. He has come to tell us we are forever slaves of his Islamic caliphate.

This thing Jubril is only coming to confirm to us that he is our lord and master. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT IT. He can lord it over Ohaneze Ndigbo, Igbo governors and Abuja rent boys but never over we die-hard Biafrans. The Governor that invited him will definitely pay a heavy price, he and his children long after Jubril must have returned to Sudan and Okorocha back to Jos.

Buhari the supposed 75 year old blood thirsty nepotistic hater, killed our people in thousands during the 1966 Pogrom. He was with Col Murtala Mohamed at the Asaba Massacre in 1967 in case Chief John Nnia Nwodo and Gov. Dave Umahi have forgotten.

He played a key role in all the theatres of genocidal mass slaughter of the Nigeria /Biafra War (1967-1970). He instructed soldiers to kill Nnamdi Kanu at his Afaraukwu Abia State residence 2 months ago. We are yet to know our leader's whereabouts or that of his parents. This is not the type of person any governor should be welcoming to their land.

This blood thirsty Fulani herdsman, holds a world view of Biafrans and Ndigbo in particular as a conquered, enslaved and dominated people. The only reason Buhari sought apex political power was to finish the pledge of Uthman Dan Fodio to dip the Koran in the Atlantic Ocean. He is carrying on the jihad of his forbearer Uthman Dan Fodio propagated by Sir Ahmadu Bello. They hate our people with a passion, they love killing us, so his coming is only to celebrate what he sees as the final defeat of our people. He will not go home alive.

All those who plotted this visit will pay dearly. When the time comes their Northern masters will not be around to save them. We see them coming but they will not see us when the time for vengeance comes. Those who are hoping to welcome Buhari to Biafraland will suffer miserably. There will be no forgiveness.

We have tried for years to avoid bloodshed, but our enemies have finally provoked us beyond measure. That Nnia Nwodo and Dave Umahi saw it fit to bring this Fulani hater of Igbos from Daura into our land to mock us proves that they are the problem of our people not the solution. We are going to perish together with this 'Buhari'. It’s a promise. IPOB said.

Counter accusation as Rotimi Amaechi releases statement on clash in PH, says Wike's security pulled gun on him & vandalized his car

This afternoon, Governor Wike and Rotimi Amaechi's convoy and security officers confronted each other in Port Harcourt. Wike had earlier released a statement telling his own side of the story. Read Amaechi's version of the story below...

In a blatant show of naked raw power, Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi this afternoon narrowly escaped being shot by security men attached to the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.  His car wasn’t that lucky though. The car was vandalized with a broken side mirror.

The incident occurred in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, along Trans-Amadi road, Nwaja axis. The Minister had arrived Port Harcourt this afternoon.

Accompanied by cars of many of his supporters, the Minister’s black jeep was intercepted and blocked at the junction by the security Motorcycle Outrider attached to Wike after two cars had passed through. One of the two cars had security men assigned to protect the minister in Port Harcourt.  Suddenly, gun-totting security men attached to Wike’s convoy, surrounded the Minister’s car, threatening to shoot him. They hit the car, tried to smash the windscreens, back and side windows and broke a side mirror. All through this attack, Amaechi remained calm, inside the fortified Jeep.  While the attacked occurred, Wike remained inside his vehicle.

The Minister eventually passed through after the intervention of the security team on ground to protect him in Port Harcourt. However, when Governor Wike got to the point where the incident occurred after Amaechi’s vehicle had gone by, his security men blocked the road again, dragged out from a vehicle and thoroughly beat up a police man attached to protect Amaechi in Port Harcourt.  The Policeman’s riffle was also taken from him.

Wike came out of his car, and with his security team was going from one vehicle to another, of Amaechi supporters, charging at them, harassing and abusing them. Wike’s security men were heard loudly insulting Amaechi and called him all sorts of derogative names.

This is a crass show of high handedness, arbitrary behaviour and abuse of public office by a State governor who has no care for the safety of Rivers people.

Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky regains his freedom

Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky, has been reportedly regained his freedom following his arrested in Lagos on November 7 and subsequently transferred to Abuja. Bobrisky revealed that his “bae” was instrumental to his freedom.

Bobrisky reportedly claimed that Toyin Lawani ordered his arrest, on account that he stole her cream-buying customers. He therefore thanked all the lawyers, fans, celebrities, friends and everyone that helped him in a Snapchat video he made from his hotel room in Abuja.

In a post he crafted on Instagram, he wrote:

"Plenty gist for guys just wait for it. Thanks you all for ur words dm,text messages, cal. All my God fathers, commissioners, lawyers both in Abuja and Lagos, my elder sister mum, my sister Alaba, my best friend, my best friend mum, thanks to @sotayogaga thanks to @tontolet. And my fans I love u all".

Nevertheless, there were speculations earlier that Bobrisky was apprehended because he declared that he was gay but popular lawyer, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has revealed that Bobrisky cannot be jailed for publicly admitting he is omosexual except he is caught in the act.

The ace lawyer was quoted as saying; “For me, you have to be caught in the act," “Yes, it may amount to corrupting public moral when you go on social media to announce you are gay but we are talking about the law here and not sentiment and if we are talking about the law, the person has to be caught in the act."

“Except the person says he is gay and refers to a particular gay act that can be verified. For example, if Mr. A comes out on social media to say I am a thief, he cannot be arrested because his declaration that he is a thief cannot be linked to a particular act of stealing."

“Anybody can come out to say I am a kidnapper but if you do not link that declaration to a particular incident that happened, that person cannot be arrested."

"So also, if a person comes out to say I am gay and you can’t link it to a particular gay act that actually happened or that he was caught in the act, I think it is wrong for such a person to be arrested."

“You can only be arrested when you consent to the act that can be verified. He can be arrested for saying that he is gay but it must be linked to a gay act that happened. You cannot be arrested for just saying you are gay,”. Festus Keyamo said.
